Syrian Refugee Update

UPDATE:

Thank you for your generosity.  Lebanon still houses a huge majority of the Refugees from Syria.  It is straining the local systems and churches. There are local pastors of Christian Churches who are caring for refugees there as best they can with the limited resources they have.  Through our partnership with Matt & Julie Beemer we'll be sending this aid directly to the Syrian Pastors who have immediate impact.

We raised the initial $7000 goal that we had.  The shipping containers are now funded.  Any additional funds that come in will be distributed directly to the local Pastors who are serving the refugees.  Thank you for sharing, for donating, and for praying.

This is from Matt & Julie Beemer:

"We will take it with our team in Oct. We had committed to the pastors that work with the Syrian refugees to bring extra funds. Thank you so much.. Matt & our team leader just got back 2 weekends ago going thru all the food items donated to the refugees. Now we are dealing with the usda certification preparing to load it into containers and get it stamped to enter Lebanon. We are hoping it will arrive when our team hits the ground to distribute it...

These pictures are of the aid we are working on to get over to Syrian refugees. Your support strengthens the local churches and the churches reach out to the Syrian refugees!"
