Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible. These photos were taken this morning in the slums outside of Nairobi Kenya.
Well over 100 families received food assistance for their families.
You have been a conduit of hope to so many people.
Thank you,
Darren

Thank you to everyone who has donated to help us build a home for a family in need in Haiti. We have been busy working on a home for Pastor Pierrot and his family in Port Au Prince.
I first met Pastor Pierrot a couple days after the quake in 2010. He and his family had lost everything, including their church. He was living in a tent city a couple hours south of PAP in Jacmel. I have stayed in touch with him over the years. Conduit has paid for his kids to go to school, helped them with food assistance, and recently have been helping them with medical expenses.
I recently became aware of how squalid his living conditions have been. On my last visit in November the rain was coming down in sheets, for days. He has been living in a shack that had "roof problems" . Which apparently means he HAD NO ROOF at all.
We have begun the process of creating a home that is going to be livable for he and his family. Starting with putting on a roof. We will then strengthen the existing structure where we can, and rebuild where it's necessary. This should be completed within the next few weeks.
Thank you for trusting us to be the conduit of your generosity.

We're so grateful for the ongoing generosity. Thank you to all of you who have donated, shared, and prayed.
Food distributions have already begun. Our teams continue to come across families who are 100% without food, and have no way to acquire it. We've handed out hundreds of bags of food that include enough beans/ rice/ flour / oil to give them 5-7 days worth of food.
We are continuing to assess the situation as well as communicate with our ministry colleagues in the area to assess the situation and to execute a plan that will work in lock step with the other organizations.
together we can do more.

UPDATE from Haiti. Pastor Lafleur is out in the community assessing damages. The folks in the church family are all safe. They're wet. Cold. But alive and resilient. Haitians could teach us a thing or two about being strong.
We will be gathering information on what the immediate and long term needs will be and I'll relay those to you as soon as I can.
I'm super proud of you. In 24 hours we raised $8,000. I didn't. WE did. you're awesome. We will likely need to raise more. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
(This photo was sent from my friend Paul earlier this afternoon. It was taken in Jacmel)

Thank you to everyone who has donated in the last 24 hours. Truly grateful for your generosity.
The folks in Jacmel are definitely wet, and we won't immediately know the extent of the damage.
I got this message from Pastor David Badio (Restoration Church) this morning at around 7am.
"Pastor....we were unable to accommodate people in our facility because of the present state of the church. Because water went in... But yet I was able to visit a few of them. There is one family in particular that had to move from where they were because of the condition of their house....!!"
We are currently awaiting more updates from the School and Restoration House as well as the condition of the mountain church.
We will update here again as soon as we have more information.

We way exceeded our initial goal of $8,000! Thank you to each of you for sharing this story. For donating. For praying. Grady Pickett has been able to continue serving the brothers and sisters in Iraq. Living in tents in a harsh winter climate is already a challenge, but without heat, it would be unbearable. As winter has set in, there are thousands of refugees who now have heat who wouldn't otherwise.
The image above is from one of the refugee camps made famous by Glenn Beck in his operation to evacuate several hundred Christian refugees to Europe. There are thousands more left behind. They are the ones who Grady and his family are serving. They currently provide meals and provisions to literally hundreds of refugees. With a potential civil war brewing over the border in Turkey on one side, and with ISIS forces raging 70KM the other way, it's a precarious place. We are so thankful for the Pickett family providing an opportunity for us to invest in what God wants to do there.
Any more donations that come in will be put to good use for the ongoing bread and provisions needed for these people in desperate need.
On behalf of myself, Darren Tyler, Conduit Mission and the Pickett Family... thank you.
In fact, they have planted a church right in the middle of Irbil Iraq.

WOW. we crushed the $8,000 goal. I asked Grady what else they could use funds for. Here's his response.
"Once that is distributed there is a refugee Christian camp that can't pay their land rent. We will probably help them out. $2000 a month the land owner wants. We also have a bread project in a Syrian Kurdish Muslim camp where we bake 700 loaves a day for the past 18 months. That costs me $2000 a month. We are also starting a church and have it about 80% ready to launch. A keyboard and sound system are about $2500."
There is plenty to do. So much need. We will forward on the overages to Grady for him to do with as the needs arise.

6 cold classrooms for 40 refugee children got their kerosene heaters today here in N. Iraq Kurdistan. Thank-you for your help.

Thank you to Danna Gresh and www.secretkeepergirl.com
Dannah and her team have issued a $2,000 matching donation challenge. They will match up to $2,000 in donations. That's double the kerosene. That's two heaters for the cost of one. We are so grateful to Dannah. And to all of you who are donating, praying, sharing and stepping up to help our brothers and sisters in Iraq.

The Christian refugee teachers were also glad to get the heaters. Grady and his team are already delivering heaters and kerosene and coming out of pocket personally for them. As soon as we hit $8000 we will send the money immediately. Thank you to everyone who has already donated. prayed. and shared this campaign.

UPDATE:
Thank you for your generosity. Lebanon still houses a huge majority of the Refugees from Syria. It is straining the local systems and churches. There are local pastors of Christian Churches who are caring for refugees there as best they can with the limited resources they have. Through our partnership with Matt & Julie Beemer we'll be sending this aid directly to the Syrian Pastors who have immediate impact.
We raised the initial $7000 goal that we had. The shipping containers are now funded. Any additional funds that come in will be distributed directly to the local Pastors who are serving the refugees. Thank you for sharing, for donating, and for praying.
This is from Matt & Julie Beemer:
"We will take it with our team in Oct. We had committed to the pastors that work with the Syrian refugees to bring extra funds. Thank you so much.. Matt & our team leader just got back 2 weekends ago going thru all the food items donated to the refugees. Now we are dealing with the usda certification preparing to load it into containers and get it stamped to enter Lebanon. We are hoping it will arrive when our team hits the ground to distribute it...
These pictures are of the aid we are working on to get over to Syrian refugees. Your support strengthens the local churches and the churches reach out to the Syrian refugees!"

I'm so sad to have to report that another quake hit Nepal today. This doesn't appear to be an aftershock. It registered 7.3. Almost as large as the first major quake 3 weeks ago. More people are dead. More are injured. More are homeless.
Our partner Dan and his family were up in Kavre working with their shelter team. Kavre happened to be right in the middle of the epicentre. They are physically fine; but they are as busy as ever.
Your donations have gone to pay for food, clothing, shelter and medical expenses for victims of the quake. Boutique non profits like Conduit, working directly with people on the ground have been very effective in getting relief to people.
Thank you for your support. We are sending 100% of your donations as we receive them. We are thankful that you are trusting us to be a conduit of your generosity.
Please continue to pray for our friends in Nepal. We will update as we have more information.

The photos below.
1. The picture of the mountain was taken seconds after the quake. The plumes of smoke are actually plumes of dust from collapsing structures.
2. Dan and his family are helping to build temporary shelters for the wounded and homeless. This photo is of a family who lost their home and are recovering from serious injuries. From Dan "Half our team is putting up a new shelter for a family whose tent was shredded in a windstorm last night. We are taking shelter from a pouring rain near Sinderpalchowk. This break is giving us a chance to catch up with a family we helped a few days ago. Landslide risks are great up here. Please pray for these dear people"

The photo below is Salina's great grandmother. Salina was the little girl pulled from a pile of rock. Her grandfather carried her to a hospital where she was operated on by a CNN reporter/ surgeon. Here she is coming back to the community center (since her home was destroyed) We anticipate that they may have an influx of kids at the children's home, considering some list their parents.
These are photos of children who are being helped and loved on by our friends at Guardian Village. They told us today that they are using your funds to purchase necessities for the hundreds of people who are living in the courtyard of Guardian Village.
People are coming to Christ. The guardian village community has a whole new circle of influence. They went into the villages before, but now those in the villages are coming to them.
Guardian Village has been a place to protect women and children from being trafficked. The kids have a safe and loving environment to grow up in and the women earn a living wage making handicrafts.
There are traffickers posing as earthquake relief workers who are getting women to come with them and are taking them abroad to work in brothels. There are Nepalese people who are terribly vulnerable right now. Sex traffickers flood into disaster areas like this when the population is dispersed, oppressed and separated. It happened in Haiti. We can be certain it's happening here. We are making every attempt we can to create safe environments.
Please continue to pray. Continue to share. And if you can, please donate. Your funds are needed and going directly to assisting people like Salina. 100% of your donations to Conduit are being sent directly to assist in the relief efforts. Thank you.
